Hello!
Well I've been using Folligen for about a month now, and it goes on nicely. However only recently I've been dermarolling/needling, and now it strongly burns when I apply folligen. I don't mind it IF it's okay and not harmful, but is this a sign of damage, inflammation, scarring? I don't want to risk further damage to my hair. Please advise, thanks guys |

Are you using it after using a needle roller?
If so, use much less of the Folligen. |

I have NOT used the ROLLER with Folligen on my scalp, but rather the ROLLER & CPs on my face.
After ROLLING the CPs definitely "sting a bit", but it subsides within 1/2 hr. This is from the deeper penetration, so I think it is probably the SAME when working on your scalp. Emu Oil afterwards helps to calm & soothe... |

Dr. Pickart,
Yes I apply it afterwards. I will try to use less next time, but regarding my initial question. Does the burning/stinging implicate possible damage to the hair, ie inflammation or something similar? |

The stinging is too much of the product getting into the skin. You can wash the product off with warm water and stop any stinging. But it does not seem to stop skin repair. We first noticed this in human studies on injured skin but the skin healed rapidly despite an initial stinging.
