Hello Skin Biology,

I have sampled all seven scents (regular P&R Body Lotion included), and I must said I like all of them because they are all new and unusual fragrances to me with perhaps the exceptions of lavender and jasmine. I will vote for my favorite scents in a few weeks if I have strong preferences.

Do you know if there are reasons or ingredients in the scented P&R Body Lotions, the regular body lotion, and the Suntanning Lotion that we shouldn't wear them together? I have worned the scented body lotions without incurring bodily rash, but the first day I wore Patchouli & SB-74, P&R Body Lotion, and the Suntanning Lotion, I itched and scratched heavily while playing tennis. It was too early in the day for bugs. I have rash and scratch marks on the back of my wrist, my legs, and my neck. In addition to the itch, the suntanning lotion also made my skin constantly slippery with my perspiration. That same night, I was banned from sitting on the family couch with others and in the future (when wearing these three body products) Smiler Do you have an opinion or suggestion? Thanks.

Dear JW:

Thanks for posting your question. Actually Dr. Pickart says that there wouldn't be a problem with interaction if a person decides to use various scented products of ours at the same time.

However, some may have a reaction to a particular scent and may need to steer clear of that one.

Dear Skin Biology,

I used to think it was the Suntanning Lotion, but I am theorizing that my skin is allergic to something in the P&R Body Lotion.

My arms and legs don't itch or have any red and white bumps from using the scented copper body lotions, however.

I have been using the regular body lotion strictly for three days to be sure that it's only the body lotion that is causing the allergic reactions: minor itching/scratching and red/white bumps. I will comparare the ingredients between the P&R Body Lotion and the body lotions with the essential oils to find the offending ingredient(s) when I get time, but do you have a guess what is in the P&R Body Lotion that's causing the red and white bumps and the minor itching?

Dear JW:

We'll see if Dr. Pickart has any other ideas on what could be causing this reaction.

Hang in there,

Dear SB,

Can you please tell me what exactly the P&R lotion does - benefits when using it, besides the essentila oil and pheromone?

Thanks.

Dear Jasman:

The Protect & Restore Body Lotion (as detailed at: http://www.skinbio.com/bodyrenewallotion.html) is designed for general body skin renewal. It contains Dr. Pickart's SRCP complex plus protective lipids and anti-oxidants so that whether your aim is to reduce scars on the body or just keep the skin soft and supple, this product will help.

People use it for a number of uses (see: http://www.skinbio.com/bodyrenewallotion.html#testimonials) such as:

* After suntanning
* Treating eczema
* General skin damage
* Dry skin patches

There are a number of pleasant scents to choose from, and then the Basic (or Regular scent).

Best Wishes,

Dear aspiringbeauty1983:

Are you thinking about trying the P&R Body Lotion? Or if you're already using it...what do you think?

We'd be interested your feedback.

I'm not 1983, but I'm really liking the P+R Suntanning Lotion. My skin doesn't get burned or freckled when I use it. Thanks! Thumbs UP!

Hello Skin Biology,

It's a confirmation that I have a skin reaction to using the non-scented body lotion after a long break from not using it. I didn't use anything different or new as in April, such as a new body wash. The only difference is that I only used the P&R Body Lotion without the Suntanning Lotion.

My legs itched terribly and the skin on my leg has some kind of inflammatory reaction with rash (by 3-7 days) as before. I'm pushing to see if I could pass the discomfort and the red/white skin erruptions because I like the idea of using copper peptides on my body.

Scented body lotions don't seem to cause rash or skin reaction on my body; however, I haven't used them exclusively, regularly, and long enough to know for sure.

I won't be testing the Suntanning Lotion for several months until the rash goes away. In any case, it probably wouldn't make sense to use the Suntanning Lotion without the P&R Body Lotion.

I hope you would consider reformulating the unscented body lotion.

Dear JW:

Sorry to hear about your reaction - It could be a certain ingredient that your skin is reacting to.

This was the Protect & Restore Basic? If not definitely try only the Basic version. If so, you may want to opt to use TriReduction with Retinol for your body skin or CP Serum all over the body...It works and may be easier for your skin to handle.

Please let us know how things go for you,

Will do. I still have several SRCPs body lotions to go through and will keep you posted.
