Dr. Pickart,
I'm starting to "eye up" your "shampoo & conditioner"... I currently use a couple of different "weekly treatments" on my hair...actually they are more like every other week or "when I get around to it" treatments... I would love to see a "magic CP Serum" treatment for you hair... ..any chance????? |

Stoney - I love the shampoo and conditioner - they are such a lovely consistency and texture and my hair really likes it.
As for CP serum, I thought Folligen has CPs and other hair goodies in it and comes in a lotion and spray serum. I have tried the lotion which was a little thick (and is like a cream) but the spray is fantastic! Sean |

Thanks Sean,
I guess I overlooked researching this on the SB site...somehow I thought that the products were for those trying to grow their thinning or balding hair???...(kinda like a chia pet...lol)...actually my Father-in-Law manufactured those by the "zillions" back in the day & it still somehow always comes up... Do you leave these products in your hair for a short period & then wash them out?...will that give you results that way -or- do you have to leave them in to work? I'm basically trying to keep the cuticle smooth & damage-free & use it as a scalp treatment too... How do you use yours?...Thanks! Stoney |

Leave the hair products on the scalp, not the hair. The grow is to enhance hair follicle growth.

Perhaps I'll try the "Shampoo & Conditioner" & maybe that spray for a scalp treatment since I already have a lot of hair on my head...it may just make it fuller...

Hey Stoney
I don't have either thinning or balding hair but use the Folligen spray (its easiest for me) and I do think it helps the health of the hair generally. I tend to spray it on after washing and just leave it in. If I want to add a bit of gel or something, I go for sea kelp as it seems to really help my hair stay in place without being too strong or drying. I use it as a scalp treatment, but don't have an immediate scalp or hair problems (and want to keep it that way hence the steps I take). I used to use a lot of masks (such as Louise Galvin or coconut oil) but really don't find them as necessary as I used to. Sean |

Thanks Again Sean...
Our situation sounds the same...just keeping things healthy before a REAL problem gets a chance to develop!!!... I do have a couple of favorite "hair masks" that I use, but sometimes get too involved & don't use them regularly enough... I think I'll try the spray that you recommend plus the S & C.... You were over on the Retin-A thread & thankfully never really used any BPs to try to maintain your skin..."good for you"!!!!... sounds like you have things "fairly well worked out" in your "maintenane phase".. By the way, are you a "He-Sean -or- a She Sean"... ...just curious??? |

I love the S&C! They are serious favs of mine. The spray is nice and easy to use as well, and sometimes I find that I just need to brush my hair after spraying and it stays in place.
Yep I am so glad I never used BPs! I did use Retin A (though am taking a break as its summer and don't want to get my skin too sensitive). Am a guy so think I qualify as a He-Sean! LOL |

Thanks Sean, I had a feeling you were a "He-Sean"...I am a "She-stoney", but I actually thought my husband may really like the shampoo too...
He has a dark, thick head of hair & only uses a zinc-based shampoo that he loves...but he's already confiscated my "BioHeal" & I thought he might like to try this as well... He has "perfect hair & skin"...I'm the one with ALL the problems...my face has suffered dearly from "BP revenge", otherwise it would have never gotten to be such a "mysterious mess"!!!! Do you use CPs on your face???..I'm not a fan of Retin-A, mostly because of the sun & I have amazingly healed my face with LacSal, CPs & the dermaroller"... You may want to try a shorter needle dermaroller for maintaining your skin...I can't really say enough about them!!!... Anyway, thanks for the "tips" on the haircare products... |

I haven’t yet tried dermarolling. It’s a thing I can’t get my head round and am too cowardly to do it. I see blood and I pass out almost so doing that to my skin is way too much for me.
I use regular CP serum without any problems, my skin really drinks it in which is why I really like it. I did get a large bottle of the SuperCop cream, but not convinced about it yet but have been using it for over a month now. The serum feels like it penetrates further than the cream, although I understand the cream contains stuff that pushes the CP in further. Could be just me though. I didn’t mind the Super CP either. I do also use Exfol Serum and dry skin brushing. The serums work very well for my sensitive but oily skin. I have only recently been adding the squalene to my hair and like the way it helps the hair to stay glossy but still smooth to the touch and is a good styling aid as well. I wasn't mad keen on the emu oil for hair. Its a bit of a thick gloop and felt greasy to the touch, but the squalene is a very different texture and feel in comparison. Its light but not heavy. |

Thanks for your "routine" Sean,
Being a "He-Sean" I can understand why you are a bit of a "cowardly lion" when it comes to pain...My mother was a hairdresser & ocassionally she would "perm" her 4 girls long, straight hair...she would jokingly says to us to get through the loooong process ..."Girls, you ave to SUFFER to be Beautiful"... Oh!!!! I agree that your skin really "drinks in" the CP serums...I use Super CP Serum, then "spot treat" with Super Cop...if you apply Emu Oil afterwards that helps push the CPs in & makes your skin silky smooth... You didn't mention LacSal or Exfol which should be used on the opposite end of the day for the transformation to take place...I like using mine in the AM & CPs in the PM... Also, do you use "Day Cover"???... I think this is one of the BEST products SB makes(now next to that NEW Foot Cream...luv it!)... I use it religiously year round & to tell you the truth, I only used my additonal "natural SS" twice this whole summer...Day Cover does it for me!!! ...oh & once you get the "dermaroller thing" wrapped around your head, it is very easy to use & a very effective tool in the "skin remodeling thing"... Make sure you take your collagen building supplemnts too!!!...lol She-stoney |

I do use squalene. I did try emu but it leaves me way too shiney and is a bit heavy for my skin. The squalene works well though.
I do have exfol serum which I like. I did try LacSal but it didn't seem to penetrate or feel as good as the exfol. Again skin seems to drink it in. Although I apply exfol serum about mid day, I'm a fanatic when it comes to skin brushing and brush my face as well (but with a different brush specifically for the face). I recently got some DMAE serum (4% I think from SkinActives) which I am applying after putting on the CPs and am loving that. I can really feel it tighten up after applying. I have never tried day cover, although I love NCN's "I'm covered day lotion" which is a similar mixture. I do really want to try the footlotion though - I used to use BioHeal on my feet and that worked a treat. I think I will pass on the dermaroller thing. My skin seems to like what I am doing so far, and the needles thing is a little bit too hell raiser for my liking! |

Sean,
Sounds like you MUST have a pretty "great looking face" these days... Your routine is "right on" with your approach on using your products....I agree that DMAE is the way to go with tightening!!!... I finally got my husband to try my "Gentle Clean" yesterday & he used it twice already...I said to him..."see what you've been missing"... I'm hoping he will like the shampoo too...he used a zinc-based shampoo forever for his thick head of hair...I'm sure "Folligen" will treat his scalp kindly... You probably don't need the dermaroller anyway, since you really never used BPs which are the source of some "nasty problems" under many of our faces....GOOD FOR YOU!!!... Just, Keep It Up... ...and, oh be sure to try the SB Foot Cream, my husband already confiscated my FREE sample tube... |

Sean, Your were right about the Shampoo & Conditioner...they are WONDERFUL!!!...
My husband, who is very fussy about his head, LOVES the shampoo...his words..."not only does it smell good, it is silky smooth ...and, well... you DON'T have to TELL ME I'll have to get the deluxe size if SB ever comes out with it... I do like the "spray" too... I just spray a little on my scalp after "Shampooing & Conditioning"...it's NOT sticky of anything like that..I like it!!!... |

LOL yep I told you so! They smell wonderful and really clean the hair without drying it out. Hair and scalp feels wonderful after I use it, and imagine your hubby is the same. With the spray though, don't use it daily, try every other day (its a tip I learned on here). For some reason the scalp doesn't like getting overloaded and maybe its that extra days grace or something, but it seems to really help my hair grow quickly. I get it cut once a month now! Also I find that if I comb it into a style I like, it stays after spraying with the folligen - so its brilliant. Sometimes if I want it to penetrate deeper I apply a little bit of squalene (but you could substitute emu oil if you like), but don't do this regularly as I tend to forget about it so often.
Glad he liked the Gentle Clean. Your going to have to start hiding your products. My step dad and mother came to visit a couple of months ago, and they began using the products in the bathroom (without telling me of course) and before they left they were singing how good their skin and hair felt etc. Its only when I went to clean out the bathroom afterwards that I realised almost half my supplies were gone. Typical! Now when I order my products, I call them to see if they want anything and do a big order. Saves them stealing mine! |

WOW Sean...A body builder with GREAT hair & skin!!!!....the girls MUST be after you Big Time!!!...lol...just teasing...
Well, my husband AMAZINGLY now wants to try my exfol serum & CP serums????...I think I may have created a monster here... I'll put some CP serum in a bottle w/ a dropper for him, that way I know he'll use it...I'm curious to see the effects on his already perfect skin...I'm sure it will help in the tightening dept... Anyway, thanks for the inspiration for my male counterpart!!!.... |

LOL If only I was a body builder - not even close to that stage yet (but its a future goal!).
LOL if you give him your exfol serum you might never see it again! I tried someone's exfol serum once and adopted it... which is how I got into using SkinBio's products! |

Hey Seany Sean...
Thanks for taking my "teasing"...lol... Just wanted to let you know that I LUV, LUV, LUV the spray...I tried, as you suggested, skipping a day, but found that my fine but thick head of hair was much bouncier & felt better when I was using it.... So I'm "hooked" on daily use... that's probably 'cause I'm a "she-stoney" & have longer hair than you perhaps???... I never would have tried the spray if it wasn't for you!!! |

Yep the spray is great. Actually I am half way through my bottle now so going to order some more shortly (although it lasts for ages, I don't want to get caught without it). I did try the lotion as well. Need to experiment with it on my eyebrows and eyelashes really, but thats a step in itself. Not that they need work, but again prevention is better than cure. Do you use an oil after you apply it? Seriously, if you don't and your wanting bounce and shine, try adding an oil to your hair after spraying. It helps the spray penetrate into the scalp and really conditions both the scalp skin and hair at the same time!

He-Sean...My over-the-water "beauty consultant"...
I do have a few different leave-in "shiners" for my hair, but I think I'll do as you suggest & apply just a touch of "squalane" to the scalp after spraying this AM....I do want that extra bounce & shine... Now, on those eyelashes... |
