We are working on a SRCP serum for use around the eyes since this is such a difficult area.

Should the serum be more like regular CP Serum or Super CP Serum? If anyone has experience around the eye with these products, please tell what your opinion.

Struggling with the eye area has been my biggest problem with SRCPs. I'm a 1 1/2+ year consistent user of your products.

The Night Eyes is a write off for me. I tried, and gave it a true and consistent effort, can't use it, period.

I could use the Neova Antioxidant Serum around the eye area without problems, interestingly.

I have been able to use regular CP serum diluted on occasion, but usually end up with irritation after continued use. I realize that regular CP Serum is stronger than Night Eyes for copper content, so I assume it's something else in the Night Eyes that is causing so much irritation with me.

To answer your question, I'd say keep it closest to regular CP serum.

Dr. Pickart,

I have used both around the eyes since June 2004. I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. I like the thicker cp serum and I like the fact that it is less irritating. I personally think that it is not the copper in the super cp serum but the salicylic acid or something else that irritates me. So if I had my choice I would like a stronger cp serum to work around the eyes. Let me know if you have other questions. Greg

My eye area is not super sensitive, I have always used the Super CP serum around them with no problem. (I diluted at first)

The Original Skin Biology eye creams did not do anything for me.

When applying the 2X cream around the eyes, I did get some irritation at first, but the serums have always been fine, for me.

On a side note - I hope Skin Biology is also working on a Serum 2X product for facial use. That would be wonderful. Wink The cream is hard to apply, and some of the ingrediants are not the best for acne prone skin. I also don't like applying camphor and menthol to my skin regularly.

Hooray, Dr. P.! I think something along the lines of Super CP Serum (I use it now on the eyes with no problems) due to the little bit of exfoliation available in this formulation. I often use Exfol Serum on my eyelids prior to Super CP Serum, but I can't do it consistently due to irritation. Also, would it be beneficial to add some Intensive Nutrition-type of DMAE to the mix? Also, I second Tangal's suggestion re a Super CP2X serum. Thanks again.

We are working on a DMAE product and will probably give it away free with orders in a few weeks.

Do you have the ingredient list of the Intensive Nutrition DMAE product?

It is Distilled Water, DMAE and Glycerol. Roughly 10% actual DMAE.

I am personally hoping for another formulation that might be more effective than the DMAE/Glycerin mix. I don't think that is hitting on much for me.

Does anyone think the water-based DMAE is better than DMAE in glycerin or squalane?

if it would penitrate well, then it would be a good option.

I have a homemade DMAE that uses water as the main base. (actually Rooibos tea/distilled water) but I do add some penitration enhancers and preservatives.

I like it better then the thicker serums type DMAE products, because it is quite easy to layer other products on top without penitration issues.

The Intensive Nutrition product is quite thin and waterlike, not serum like, and I like it alot as well

I have worked up to using Super Cop 2x under my eyes every evening, with no irritation, but not much change, either. I had been using Super CP Serum twice a day under my eyes, again, with no irritation and not much change. When I went to Super Cop 2x, there was some mild irritation for a few days, nothing more.

I would like something as strong as possible, with DMAE as strong as possible. Since under my eyes is quite dry, something to address that would be great too. So I guess for me, a strong copper product, with DMAE in Squalane would probably be ideal.

I'm not sure if it is the consistency of the solution or the concentration of the DMAE, but Intensive Nutrition's is the best so far.

Why not just put DMAE in CP Serum?

Yes, good question, why not? I layer them in the eye area already. Works really well for me.

I just thought of some other things I would like to see for an eye serum besides the cp and DMAE .. . how about some Alpha Lipoic Acid? That is the one thing that I liked about the Perricone products was his eye duo application, esp. the part with the Alpha Lipoic in it. I used to buy it on ebay whenever I could, but it is just too insanely expensive. Also what about putting some kind of light exfoliation in there while you're at it? Kind of like the old Gold Exfol, which I used on my eyes all the time and very much miss.

Maybe a few different versions of eye cream, then. I like things as simple as possible, and nothing too rich around the eyes, otherwise it will cause milia, MJ

Yes, I agree. I'm just so excited about the possibility of a new non-milia-causing formulation for the eyes that I'm going a bit overboard. Keep it simple, definitely. What about a separate product that could perform some very mild eye exfoliation? I know there is disagreement about exfoliating that area, but I do think that it works for me.

I would like to see a CP/DMAE serum formulated specifically for the eye area.

I've been using Super CP Serum around my eye area for almost a year now, with no irritation. I wash with Cetaphil & apply Paula's Choice 2% Salicylic Acid first.

I've noticed significantly less puffiness/redness in my eye area. An eye serum would be great--because of my challenges with clogged pores, I can't tolerate creams & lotions.

I'd be glad to be a guninea pig for whatever you come up with!!!
