I have been wanting to try Copper peptides for a while and finally took the plunge. I have scarred pores and VERY deep smile lines. (I am 38) I am fully confident that the CP's will rid me of the scarred pores. The smile lines are another matter, I believe they are from a loss of volume and sagging. I would be happy if they were just shortend as they are very long. Can the peptides lift my face enough to see a noticeable difference in these lines. Has anytone significantly shortened these. Unfortunately not only do they have an aging effect but a masculanizing one as well.

Hi. You may want to incorporate some kind of facial exercise that will build up the muscle and plump the skin. This is what I do.
The ones I've tried are Flexeffect, Carol Maggio, and Senta Maria Runge. You may even want to try the Facial flex device. I do mainly the last one and the facial flex because it takes the least amount of time. Together with the CP's, this is a very effective program for me. |

Smile lines need a more extensive treatment.
The best is to rub a copper peptide product into the line at one time of the day and a hydroxy acid product into the line at a different time of the day. The hydroxy acids loosen and slowly remove the hard skin under the line and the copper peptides help skin rebuilding. |

Facial exercises are not consistent with a soft, lineless look.
The Skin Biology products are excellent, but you must take them seriously and be willing to work with them for years. I'm 50, and have no lines. I have been using SB products for quite a time, and even slather them on my face when I am so tired that I am about to pass out. You must be willing to commit and allow the process to work. It is slow, but sure. AND you are not going to end up with saggy skin in 10 or 15 years. |

Annick - when you say "willing to work with them for years" how many years are you referring to? Just curious.

Hello, I used to have naso labial lines, and many years ago, I would have fillers injected. I have found that applying surgical tape on the lines at bedtime reduced them so much that they are non existent. A few friends of mine have also tried this and it worked for them. I also do facial exercises which keeps the contours of my face young, and the cp's keep my skin smooth and healthy. It is true what Annik says, commit to a good routine with the copper peptides and you won't regret it

Thanks so much for your replies.I love how this board is so active.
First off thank you Dr. Pickart I am doing cp at one time of the day and hydroxy at the other, we'll see how it goes. Flika, I have used facial exercises before (Runge)they seem to help a little but even when I pull the skin flat there is a crease. (like the wrinkle is holding the skin down.) Annick, I wanted to ask if you felt the cp's were a preventative for you or did they reverse problem you had. (or both...lol) Homenow, I wanted to ask if you still wear the tape. I was thinking that while I used the cp the tape would act as a splint while the skin corrected itself... Thank you all again i will keep you posted |

Hey Mythgirl.
I use it every night, espcially great as I often roll on to my side in my sleep. Some people use Frownies but they are too expensive. Scotch invisible tape works well too with no irritation on my sensitive skin and it doesn't leave any sticky residue. Best of Luck !! |
