Dear Dr. Pickart, hello,

I am new to the use of Skin Biology products. I like them a lot.

I would like to buy them for my mother who is almost 65 years old. She looks much younger. However, she has dry skin with few age spots, large pores and others sights of aging. I am not sure what the best products are for her face and neck, and what kind of protocol she has to use.

Dr. Pickart, any of your general recommendations would be extremely helpful.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Dina.

Thank you, Dr. Pickart, for your reply.

However, it seems to me that the protocol for elderly skin is the same as for skin over 30. Frankly speaking, I expected something different because to get result after using copper peptides at the age of 65 would take years or/and more aggressive products have to be used. Please correct me, if I am wrong.

Sincerely, Dina

It is basically the same. But you must start much more slowly because older skin is thinner and products penetrate faster. Too fast can cause an irritation.

Also, older skin has a lower concentration of protective lipids. So, Emu Oil and Squalane help more.

The real break in treatments is around age 30. Under age 30, our creams may trigger acne. As the skin become drier with age, the creams are the best.

Deb recommended Dr Pickart's products to me a good few years ago, and I have never regretted buying them or using them and they have really helped my skin tremendously - but really follow the advice your given re product useage. Many people tend to dive straight in and use the stronger products and this seems to really speed up awkward side effects (which are just in reality the skin being overpowered by a very strong product).

I have said this before, but facial exercise, good diet and skin care are a dynamite team for sure in my mind!!!!

Yes SeanySean...You are so right! It is the whole package as well as the mindset that needs to be addressed on a daily basis.

I sadly look at the latest footage of Farrah as she struggles for her life. She is a "stunning natural beauty" with gorgeous, flawless skin ( the kind we'd all like to have), but in reality I'm sure she would trade that in for another chance at life.

I don't think it is realistic to wake up one morning & see that wrinkle forming & then try to obsess on changing it. It is the whole package that we need to strive on preserving regarding beauty & overall health.

I am somehow convinced that only a few can really have it all since "nothing comes for nothing". It is best to take care of ourselves from the get go & at the same time live life to the fullest so that at 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 or 90 you can look in the mirror & smile, no matter what!...Smiler...
