I am using Folligen spray(evening, 5 days/week) with emu-oil/minoxidil 5%(Twice a day). 2mg MSM/daily. Completed about a month now.

No sting of any sort with Folligen observed.

Seen too much shedding on top middle of the head. I also see now some kind of bare spot when hair is wet now. It scares me.

How long shedding continues ?

Is this common and nothing abnormal ?

Want to see some normalcy return with some growth. How long 2 more months ?

Hi lexon,

It's the Minoxidil that is causing the shed. Completely normal as it is kicking out the dormant hairs to make way for new growth. I shed for about 2 months, then I started to see tiny sprouts. I've been using Minox for a year now and got a decent amount of regrowth with it, enough to stop worrying about my hair. Keep going with your routine and don't stop, consistency is the secret to regrowth. Smiler

Using Minoxidil for 1 1/2 year but didnt see much initial shedding.

Only after started using Folligen(+ Minoxidil) observed shedding.

Any of folligen spray ingredients or Emu oil induce some initial shedding ?

I am using 5 days full strength Folligen every evening.

No itching/tingling what so ever even without Emu oil. Does it mean my scalp is Folligen friendly or what ?

Hmmm. They recommend to use Folligen every second day. That may be what's causing the shedding, maybe you should scale back to every second day and see if you're still shedding.

Also, I tend to shed a little more during the change of seasons, that may be a contributing factor.

I just started using Hair signals a couple of weeks ago; I'm using it every second day on the front part of my scalp and I don't have any irritation either. Let me know how it goes!

Would like to know from the inventor whether there are any restrictions for daily usage or any of the constituents of this product contribute to shedding.

Have been using Minoxidil for over a year but didnt notice much of shedding even initially but with Folligen the shedding is much steeper.

Thanks

Use less Folligen. Dormant, non-growing hair shafts stay in the hair follicle about four months before dropping off. If a material causes more hair new hair to grow, the new hair shaft pushes out the old shaft. This has been reported for minoxidil and Propecia.

Thanks Dr.Pickart for your answer.

Another follow up question is do I really need to use Minoxidil twice a day(as the company says) when I am also using Folligen spray.

Would like to use a single time of minoxidil(5%)+ Folligen+emu every evening instead. Will I loose any benefits of not using twice a day as Rogaine mandates and will this be offset by folligen usage ?

Any thoughts on this?

People do what you suggest and report good results.

You can just put everything in a salad mixer, shake, and apply.
