I had a hair transplant on Feb. 11th. The sutures have been removed and the scabs are gone.

A week ago I began using the Folligen shampoo and conditioner again.

Is it safe to begin using "Folligen for Blondes" and "Hair Signals" yet?

What benefits might I expect from the products?

Any additional recommendations?

Thanks.

You may find the following pages very helpful:

Post Hair Transplant Scalp Care

Most hair transplant specialists are be more familiar with products based on Dr. Pickart's first generation SRCPs (such as Graftcyte and Tricomin). Folligen is 2nd generation copper-peptides, more stable and stronger.

Now that your scabs have closed and are healing it is probably safe to begin using the Folligen products very slowly. You can optimize scalp health with copper-peptides. Since then more advanced copper-peptide products such as Folligen have been used by many clients for improved rejuvenation after the procedure. Our copper-rich hair and scalp shampoos, creams, and lotions as well as our Folligen for Blondes, restore scalp and hair health. Folligen can also help reduce the appearance of hair transplant scars.

As always, begin slowly and Emu Oil for Hair would also be beneficial for both the scars and absorption of the peptides.

Our best on your recovery,

Thanks Skin Bio.

I recently started using Emu Oil for Hair again, and as mentioned, the Folligen Shampoo and Conditioner.

I had asked my Transplant staff about the Folligen and Copper Peptides and even printed out the information for them to review - but they were non-responsive and suggested I use Proxiphen-N (Prox-N) and NANO Shampoo and Conditioner - but I haven't because I'm interested in continuing with the Skin Bio proiducts.

I previously reviewed your links, but thanks for posting. I was interested in verification 'cause I don't want to mess up the process with my own assumptions.

I will continue with Folligen and Hair Signals - do you recommend I dilute the products at first - perhaps use every other day? I'll apply Emu Oil prior to using the products.

Thanks,
goldenoldie

by the way, I think my transplant dr. and staff did a good job, I'm hoping for the best.

Dear goldenoldie:

If everything has healed up nicely, you can begin use of the products. You may first wish to apply Emu Oil very lightly and then apply a light amount of either Hair Signals or Folligen on top.

Others dilute either Hair Signals or Folligen with water, lightly apply onto the scalp, and then follow up with a light application of Emu Oil.

You can try a few methods and see which works best for you. We suggest going slowly. So either dilute your copper-peptide product a bit, use every other day, or base the scalp with a light application of Emu Oil to make sure the product is not too strong for your scalp.

Best Wishes,
