I recently began taking spironolactone under care of dermatologist. She stated it was the only thing that would help and I would have to take 1 year to see reslts. I am female but have higher than normal testosterone levels, I also use prescrbd progest crm from compnd phrmcy to counter testoserone effects but seem to be losing battle. I ordrd folligen crm and emu oil but do not know how often I should use, also would like to add minoxidil but unsure if would be too much? the spironolactone pls minoxidil might cause my blood pressure to go to low as both have the same effect. so far the prescriptn has not caused any lower numbers. what is your advice? I have also lost most of my eyebrows and lashes are very thin.

Dear dms:

Although you have no doubt found answers on this forum or by directly contacting us, we wanted to post a response for the benefit of yourself and others.

Folligen Cream should be used very lightly (many clients start by using every other day and then follow with a light application of Emu Oil-S for Hair afterward).

If you are not currently using minoxidil, first try Folligen alone and see if you are able to generate some results using copper-peptides alone. If you feel you may need the minoxidil added to your regimen, first make sure that minoxdil is a viable option for you.
